Meet Each Need with Dignity (MEND)

MEND, a volunteer driven organization, provides services that meet the basic human needs of individuals who reside in the northeast San Fernando Valley. As the largest poverty agency in the Valley, MEND provides emergency food, clothing, medical, vision and dental care, job skills training and job placement assistance, English as a Second Language classes, youth activities, and a Christmas program.

In appreciation for the MEND philosophy, PDC donates the use of its printing press for the MEND Christmas flyers and sponsors their Annual Gala. PDC employees also unite to donate and deliver new household appliances, clothing, food, and toys to select families during the Christmas holidays.

San Fernando Valley Youth Foundation

The San Fernando Valley Youth Foundation is dedicated to helping needy students who show academic excellence and commitment in serving their community. PDC proudly supports their annual scholarship awards luncheon.

Tierra Del Sol

As a non-profit organization, the Tierra Del Sol Mission is to serve its community by empowering individuals with developmental and multiple disabilities to realize their greatest human potential, become as independent as possible within their families and community, and establish a valued role in society. In support of this cause, PDC employs four part-time employees from the Tierra Del Sol community who assist in the Samples Department three days per week. PDC also sponsors their annual fundraiser and Fall Festival.

Valley Family Center

Valley Family Center, founded in 1987, has established itself as an integral part of the local community. As a non-profit organization, Valley Family Center is dedicated to its mission of providing counseling and educational services regardless of ethnicity, socio-economic level or religious affiliation. The Center is staffed with licensed family therapists, MFT interns under supervision, credentialed teachers and other professionals. Services are provided in English and Spanish. PDC faithfully contributes to the Valley Family Center’s Annual Spring fundraiser.
