Health Industry Distributors Association Presents Two Rhatigan Awards To Precision Dynamics Corporation

The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) has awarded both a First Place Rhatigan Award as well as an Honorable Mention Rhatigan Award to Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC) honoring the company for exceptional work in two distinct categories. The company earned a First Place in Bar Coding and also gained an Honorable Mention in the Product Catalog section of this annual competition that seeks to recognize quality marketing materials. This marks the second consecutive year that PDC has marked a double win in this prestigious competition.

Entries in the Bar Coding Category are evaluated for use of Universal Product Number (UPN) and bar coding on materials where products are encased, for example shipping cartons and product packaging. Judges review bar coding based on specific criteria including the Health Industry Bar Code Standard and the Universal Product Number Standards.

To determine winning entries in the catalog category, submissions are evaluated for appearance, size, and conformity to other layout requirements considered to be efficient and user-friendly.

Initiated in 1964, the Frank M. Rhatigan Awards recognize exceptional marketing materials produced by healthcare manufacturers in the following categories: catalogs, price lists, marketing/selling sheets, and UPN/bar coding. A First Place Award and an Honorable Mention are presented in each category.

All award recipients will be honored in connection with the Health Industry Distributors Association's annual trade show "HIDA 2001" in San Diego, California being specifically recognized at the Chairman's Industry Lunch on October 4th. In addition, winners will receive editorial coverage in the January/February 2002 issue of Healthcare Industry Executive, HIDA's official magazine, plus appear on the organization's web site www.HIDAnetwork.com.

Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, HIDA is a trade association representing medical product distributors. Established in 1902, it provides its members with products and services in several areas, including industry information and data, industry-specific education, Federal and State Government Relations, information and advocacy.
