PDC Green Team
PDC's Green Team was founded with one simple goal...reduce PDC's environmental impact. The Green Team studies all opportunities from recycling to energy reduction and procurement and more. It is our belief that making environmentally sound choices not only benefits the environment, but that it also benefits our employees by creating a more efficient and enjoyable workplace.
Since its inception, PDC's Green Team has significantly reduced over 10,000 lbs of CO2 emissions, saved over 40,000 gallons of precious water resources, and over 110 trees. With an aggressive '09 strategy, we strive to further reduce PDC's environmental impact.

Several PDC Employees recently visited sunny Playa Del Rey, CA to volunteer in a hands-on opportunity to directly improve the condition of Santa Monica Bay's beaches. Directly adjacent to Ballona Creek, this portion of the beach is continually fed waste and debris from inland cities, resulting in an environment unfit for swimming.
Renee Teves, Accounting Clerk, was encouraged by the event and noted that "It’s good to know we’re making a positive difference."

PDC Green Team Hosts E-Waste Recycling Drive - 1/11/08
Computer equipment and other Consumer Electronic Devices (cell phones, stereos, hair dryers, etc.) contain hazardous materials such as lead and can no longer be disposed of in regular trash. Lead is a known toxic substance and disposal of these items in landfills can cause the pollution of soil and groundwater. So The PDC Green Team hosted an E-Waste Recycling Drive on Friday, January 11, 2008. They collected eight pallets worth of unused computers, printers, and electronics which means a big truckload of e-waste won't be heading to a landfill. It is going to be recycled!
