Precision Dynamics' AgeBand^® Assists Prairie Meadows Officer in Detecting a Fraudulent ID Linked to Fake ID Manufacturer

San Fernando, CA (August 11, 2006) – An investigation launched in November of 2005 ended last month with the arrest of a 22-year-old Drake University student who manufactured fake IDs in his fraternity house in Des Moines, Iowa.

A fake ID linked to the investigation was found earlier in the year when a young man tried to enter the Prairie Meadows Casino. The fake ID was detected by a Prairie Meadows officer after he noticed the discrepancy between the information on the front of the band with the information contained on the magnetic stripe of the license.

Precision Dynamics Corporation's (PDC) AgeBand^® System scanned the fake ID and printed the information contained on the magnetic stripe onto a wristband, at which point the officer noticed the inconsistency. The magnetic stripe of the fake ID contained a woman's information.

Prairie Meadows has been using AgeBand as part of its admissions process for over a year and has experienced great results. "During the last year, we have detected several fraudulent IDs," comments Clint Pursley, Director of Security at Prairie Meadows. AgeBand scans and verifies a patron's identification and instantly prints a wristband with pertinent patron information, including "Age ID Verified 21," and detects fraudulent IDs such as fake driver's licenses. The system provides defensible action against underage drinking; reduces instances of human errors that occur when manually checking IDs; and provides non-transferable positive patron identification, access control, and security.
